COLLABORATORS
DC VOICE is not a membership organization, but is instead a dynamic collaborative of individuals and organizations. We define collaboration as the “coming together of parties with diverse skills and backgrounds, contributing those skills and resources in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and flexibility, in order to achieve shared goals and objectives”.
Each year, different collaborators from three sectors: grassroots, school service providers, and policy-makers, join our ranks according to common issues and concerns. See recent collaborator roster.
From this base, we are building an informed activist cadre to advocate for the conditions needed for quality teaching and learning. This cadre comes together at the Annual Collaborator Gathering, as required by the DC VOICE bylaws, to inform the Program Strategy Committee and Board on our action plan.
